Season Tickets on Record Pace

Posted Aug 29, 2013

It hasn't happened yet, but Arkansas State is currently "on pace" to break last year's record for football season ticket sales.

"We're on pace, but we haven't done it yet. We need the help of our fans. We're ahead of where we were last year at this time," said Athletic Director Terry Mohajir today on The Ticket's AstAteNation Radio program in Jonesboro.

Contrary to some claims, the lower level season ticket seats are not sold out.

"They have not yet been completely sold out," according to Mohajir. "We're getting closer, and we're trying to sell it out by Saturday at 6."

A-StAte will open the 2013 season Saturday evening at Liberty Bank Stadium against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, in the first ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.

"There's still some really good seats left," said Mohajir. "We changed the seating chart up this year and moved the visiting fans from the press box side to over on the east side, to free up some more spots on the tailgating side. We've also created some reserve seating in Section S on the 50 yard line on the east side."

As of 11:30 this morning, fewer than 800 lower level season tickets were still available for sale.

Randy Myers is the co-host of AstAteNation Radio. The program airs Monday-Friday from 11-1 on The Ticket 970am/95.3fm and on the web at
