Atwood Draws Offer

Willie Atwood played three years of high school ball at Memphis Melrose. His senior season he played at West Memphis. And even though he had been on the Arkansas State campus, the 6-foot-8, 225-pound junior college forward was surprised by what he saw during an unofficial visit last week.

"It was very nice," he said. "I was surprised that is was like it was. I liked everything up there." On an unofficial visit this week, Atwood, who now attends Connors (Okla.)
