Caston Commits to Arkansas State
A three-year starter for the Panthers, Caston liked what he saw when he visited A-State this summer.
"It just felt right,'' he said. "When I went up there and toured the campus I really liked it. I liked it up there a lot. I felt comfortable. "And it helped that I have family up there. They are really excited."
Eliah Drinkwitz was the lead recruiter for the 6-foot-1, 220-pounder.
ASU was his first offer.
As a sophomore, Pascagoula lost in the first round and fell in the state finals last year.
"I think we have a chance to be pretty good,'' he said.
In high school the Panthers have used Caston in several spots.
"I have mainly played defensive end and some linebacker,'' he said. " I also played a little tight end last year. ASU has talked to me about playing a hybrid defensive end.
He has attended camps at Louisiana-Lafayette, Mississippi State and Ole Miss. He has also made a visit to Jonesboro.
Caston recorded 61 tackles and nine sacks in 2012, helping lead the Panthers to the Class 5A South title. The Panthers have gone 20-7 the past two seasons.
