It appears that the Red Wolves has come up 0-2 up against the NCAA this summer.

AStateNation.com learned Friday evening that NCAA has turned the Red Wolves down in their waiver request for former Kansas transfer and Shiloh Christian High School offensive lineman Travis Bodenstein.

According to sources close to the situation, ASU request has been officially denied by the NCAA in regards to Bodenstein.

Bodenstein is the second player denied by the NCAA to become immediately eligible for the Arkansas State Red Wolves. Earlier this month Arkansas State received word that former Auburn running back Michael Dyer had been denied his waiver by the NCAA.

Bodenstein, who was a freshman at Kansas last fall, will sit out this fall and will have three years to play for Arkansas State.

Bodenstein, a 6-foot-5, 310-pound offensive lineman, was a three-time Arkansas AP Super Team Selection.
