It's evident that Arkansas State's first Big Wolf Weekend was a success this past Saturday.
On Monday the Red Wolves picked up its second in-state commitment from Conway wide receiver Brandon Cox.
Cox, a 5-foot-8, 160-pound wide receiver with 4.35 forty speed, attended Saturday's Big Wolf Weekend and thought it was a success.
"It was really nice," Cox told AStateNation.com Monday night. "A lot of the Red Wolves Top Prospects were there. It was a fun day, we really got to know all of the ASU coaching staff a lot better."
Cox finished his junior season at Conway HS with over 1,100 yards and 17 touchdowns.
He becomes the second in-state athlete to commit to Gus Malzahn and the Red Wolves following Saturday's big Junior Day. Mark Johnson from Prescott also made his pledge to ASU on Saturday.
Cox is very impressed with Malzahn and what he is doing at Arkansas State.
"He is a great coach and a mastermind offensively in football," Cox said. "Off the field he is a father figure, a man of high character on and off the field, that's very important to me."
Cox was also impressed with the ASU Campus and athletic facilities.
"The campus is beautiful," Cox said. "I really like the football stadium. Coach Malzahn is going to do great things at Arkansas State and I'm very proud to be a part of it."
