Getting high school prospects to his college campus is a major priority for Gus Malzahn and his new coaching staff.

One Memphis athlete that recently took an unofficial to the ASU Campus is East High School defensive tackle Herbert Moore.

It appears that Moore left Jonesboro with a very good impression of the Red Wolf Football Program.

"I really love it up there a lot," Moore said. "There school is definitely on the rise."

According to Moore, a 6-foot-2, 325-pound defensive tackle, he currently is holding offers from Arkansas State, Illinois, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Clemson and North Carolina.

"I really like their facilities," Moore said. "I really like the atmosphere up there a lot."

Moore is impressed that ASU is coming off a 10 win season and is especially impressed with Coach Malzahn.

"He did great things at Auburn," Moore said. "I think he is really going to build something very special at Arkansas State."

Moore is also impressed with his recruiting coach Kenny Ingram.

"I love Coach Ingram," Moore said. "He is a Memphis guy born and raised. He is one of us. He played at Arkansas State, he loves it up there as a coach and as a former player."
