Arkansas State loves to throw the football. That fact caught the attention of Texas wide receiver Braelon Roberts from Dallas Bishop Dunne HS. Roberts became commitment No. 14 for the Red Wolves Monday evening, calling the AState coaching staff with the good news.

Roberts became commitment No. 14 for the Red Wolves Monday evening, calling the AState coaching staff with the good news.

"Coach Allen was very excited," Roberts said. "He and Coach Freeze said I made their day that I was very important to them."

Roberts, a 6-foot-4, 175-pound wide out made a trip to Jonesboro, Arkansas two weeks ago and came away very impressed with the Arkansas State Football program.

"I liked it a lot there," Roberts said. "It felt like home."

Roberts loves the way the Red Wolves throw the football and likes how they are dominating the Sun Belt conference so far.

"They are the best team in the league," Roberts said. "I love their offense it's a great fit for me."

He also likes the fact that Arkansas State has a high graduation rate.

"They have strong academics and support for their student athletes," Roberts said. "I love that the football team has one of the higher graduation rates in the conference."

Roberts also have offers from Utah State, Colorado State, UTEP, and Louisiana Monroe.

Arkansas State Linebacker Coach Tom Allen recruits Texas for the Red Wolves.
