All it took was an official visit to Arkansas State for one Mississippi Basketball player for him to fall in love with the Red Wolves Basketball program.
AStateNation.com caught up with Ridgeland, Mississippi standout basketball player Jamal Hester who committed to Arkansas State Monday afternoon.
"I came up this past weekend," Hester said. "I loved my trip, I fell in love with the coaches, the players and the school."
After taking an official visit this weekend, Hester didn't take long in making a decision.
"I called the coaches and told them I wanted to be a Red Wolf," Hester said. "Coach Brady was very excited about my decision."
Hester, a 6-foot-8, 255-pound power forward, felt very comfortable in Jonesboro.
"It just felt right," Hester said. "It felt like home. The coaching staff really made me feel comfortable and wanted. They loved my size and work ethic, they are telling me I can come in right away and make their program better."
