Arkansas State Basketball Head Coach John Brady picked up a commitment recently from a Mississippi athlete.
AStateNation.com broke the news Monday afternoon after speaking to Wayne County Head Basketball Coach Ron Norman and he confirmed that Raeford “Gator” Worsham indeed committed to ASU.
“Yes Raeford committed to Arkansas State,” Coach Norman said. “Arkansas State is getting a great athlete, a versatile one that can play a lot of different positions.”
Norman had a lot of good things to say about Worsham.
“He is a great basketball player but even a better young man,” Norman said. “Arkansas State is getting a steal in this young man. I think he will have a great career there.”
Worsham a 6-foot-4, 190-pound athlete can play several positions according to his head coach.
“He is a combo guard that can play the 2, the 3 or the 1,” Norman said. “He took a visit to Jonesboro and fell in love with it.”
Worsham had offers from Louisiana Tech, Murray State, Troy and South Alabama.
