Often a high school basketball prospect may get overlooked in the recruiting process. It's not uncommon for a young man to appear on the recruiting radars of college coaches after impressive summer outings.
This appears to be the case for St. Louis basketball player Eric Moeller.
Moeller, a 6-foot-10, 200-pound center and power forward, has recently picked up offers from Arkansas State, Maryville and ULL.
Moeller confirmed with AStateNation.com that he has scheduled an official visit with the Red Wolves in September.
"I will be taking an official visit to Arkansas State on September 24," Moeller said. "It will be my second trip to Jonesboro, I'm looking forward to seeing the campus while the students are there."
He and his parents took an unofficial visit to Jonesboro a couple of weeks ago.
"I like it a lot," Moeller said. "I really like their facilities, they are really nice."
It appears that Moeller was also impressed with the Red Wolf coaching staff.
"Coach (John) Brady made me feel very comfortable around him," Moeller said. "He made me feel that Arkansas State would be my home. He was very genuine."
One other thing stood out to Moeller on the Arkansas State campus.
"I really loved the football stadium," Moeller said. "I'm a big football fan and will be attending a lot of football games."
How does Arkansas State stack up with Moeller in his recruitment?
"They are at the top," Moeller said. "I came into the process this summer, I plan on taking visits to Missouri State, Denver and Austin Peay before making a decision."
