One Memphis High School athlete that appears to be on Arkansas State's radar is former Cordova HS star and now Memphis Ridgeway player Craig Hill.

Hill confirmed with AStateNation.com that he will indeed play his senior season at a different high school.

"I will play my senior season at Memphis Ridgeway," Hill said. "I'm excited about the upcoming season and recruiting is going well right now."

According to Hill he currently has offers from Arkansas State, Murray State, Ole Miss and Louisiana Tech.

How does the Red Wolves stand with Hill?

"I'm getting a really feel from them," Hill said. "The school isn't far from home, I would be playing at a good D1 school and be coached by someone who coached in a final four."

In fact Hill went as far as saying that Arkansas State was one of his favorites so far.

"Out of the schools that have offered me, Arkansas State is definitely one of my favorite schools," Hill said. "I'm still hoping for an offer from Memphis and Georgia Tech, we will see what happens."

Hill is impressed with the ASU Coaching staff of John Brady and his recruiting coach Melvin Haralson.

"Coach Brady is a great coach," Hill said. "He has coached in the SEC, he has made to the final four, he is a really good guy. I like Coach Haralson a lot, he is cool, I call and talk to him some."

According to Hill he is being told by ASU coaches that he would fit in well at their program.

"They love the type of player I am," Hill said. "They want me to sign with them, they feel I could grow as a player in their program."

Hill is planning on taking a visit to Jonesboro next month, he is planning on coming up September 10 for the Memphis Football game.

Hill, a 6-foot-7, 205-pound athlete plays the small forward or center position.
