As part of the Commitment Tracker Profile, we take a look at each of the Red Wolves commitments through the eyes of their Head Coach.

We start off this series with Memphis Mitchell Defensive Tackle Greg Buckhanon.

AStateNation.com went 1-on-1 with Memphis Mitchell veteran Head Coach Nathan Cole Sr. to get his take on Buckhanon's talents.

What type of player is Greg Buckhanon?

Coach Cole's Answer: He is an under rated player because of his size, but he plays much bigger than his actual size. He has a motor that never stops. He loves pursuing the football.

What has Buckhanon mean't to your football team at Memphis Mitchell HS?

Coach Cole's Answer: He demands a double team every time he steps out on the field. This helps our linebacker corp tremendously. He is so quick off the football, he causes a major disruption in the opponents backfield.

Does Buckhanon play any other positions?

Coach Cole's Answer: He is the best long snapper that I have ever had during my long coaching career. He is really good in that department.

What honors has Buckhanon earned at Memphis Mitchell?

Coach Cole's Answer: He is the top defensive player in our conference as a junior, he has been named this fall to the Reebock All-American Team.

What type of young man is Buckhanon off the football field?

Coach Cole's Answer: He is a yes sir no sir type of young man. He is a true student athlete, his academics come first for him. He is a very smart young man on and off the field. He is a young man that any coach would be proud to have on his team.

How strong is Buckhanon?

Coach Cole's Answer: He benches over 310 pounds, he squats between 475 and 500.

What type of student is Buckhanon?

Coach Cole's Answer: He is a great student. He has a 4.5 G.P.A and scored a 19 his first time on the ACT.

Your thought's about Buckhanon committing and going to Arkansas State University.

Coach Cole's Answer: It's a great school and a great campus. My daughter goes to school there. I love ASU. I think Arkansas State is a great play for Greg, it's not too far from home. He will get a quality education there and Coach Hugh Freeze will take great care of him. I have known Coach Freeze for along time, I truly trust him with our kids. I know that they will be well coached and someone that they can talk to anytime.
