One Memphis High School prospect is seeing his recruitment pick up over the last couple of months.

After attending several summer camps, Whitehaven's Antonio Thomas has seen his offer list grow to five offers, two from SEC schools.

"Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Southern Mississippi, Arkansas State and Memphis have all offered," Thomas told AStateNation.com. "Right now I don't really have a favorite, I'm going to go slow with the recruiting process."

Thomas attended two summer camps in Jonesboro and got a chance to see a little bit of the Arkansas State Campus.

"I like the campus," Thomas said. "I didn't get a chance to see it all, but I checked some of it out."

Thomas Arkansas State recruiting Coach Maurice Harris coached at his high school.

"Coach Harris went to school at my school, he knows about us over here at Whitehaven," Thomas said. "He is a good guy."

Thomas, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound cover corner, also got a chance to meet new Arkansas State Head Coach Hugh Freeze.

"Coach Freeze tried to convince me to come to his school," Thomas said. "He said that education comes first in his program, he wants all of his football players to graduate."

Will Thomas take an official visit to ASU?

"Right now I'm not sure," Thomas said. "I do have interest in Arkansas State, I have interest in all the schools that has offered me."
