Arkansas State's new head coach Hugh Freeze is committed to recruiting the state of Arkansas.

Freeze picked up his sixth commitment for his 2012 recruiting class when West Helena athlete DeKeithan Williams made his pledge Tuesday to the Red Wolves.

"Yes sir I'm a Red Wolf," Williams told AStateNation.com. "I'm very excited about making my commitment to Arkansas State."

It appears that Williams isn't the only one excited about the news.

"Coach Freeze and Coach (David) Gunn were very happy that I'm part of their family," Williams said. "I love their coaching staff, and love the campus."

Williams camped at Arkansas state earlier this summer and enjoyed his experience.

"It feels like home," Williams said. "I know I will get a great education there."

Williams, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound athlete plays running back and safety for his West Helena High School team.

Williams has an offer from Arkansas State and one from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff.
